Hunger Strike est la chanson la plus connue de Temple of the Dog, présente dans le top 20 de 1992 aux USA. Elle fut régulièrement diffusée sur les radios hard rock.
C'est une ballade émouvante et crépusculaire, traitant de la grève de la faim et du vol pour les plus pauvres (thème rappelant les aventures de Robin des Bois). Eddie Vedder accompagne Chris Cornell au chant sur le morceau.
