Un hornito est un cône volcanique de dégazage, généralement de faible taille, formé par l'agglutination de lambeaux de lave chauds, ou scories, retombés encore liquides et soudés entre eux. Les hornitos se forment dans les coulées de laves. Le terme de hornito est un diminutif du terme espagnol el horno, qui signifie littéralement en français « le four ».
