Harvey Fletcher (11 septembre 1884 - 23 juillet 1981) était un physicien américain. Il est né à Provo dans l'Utah (USA) et fit ses études à la Brigham Young University (BYU).
Ses travaux les plus connus portent sur sa contribution à la théorie de la perception de la parole. Il démontra que les éléments de la parole se répartissent habituellement sur une large plage de fréquence; et imagina un indice permettant de quantifier la perte d'audition. Il étudia également les courbes isosoniques.
On lui doit l'invention de l'audioprothèse et du sonomètre. C'est l'inventeur de la stéréophonie.
