Half-Breed

Les Half-Breeds étaient vers la fin du XIXe siècle, aux États-Unis, une faction du Parti républicain, représentant l'aile modérée. Ils s'opposaient alors aux Stalwarts pour le contrôle du parti. Les Half-Breeds, conduits par le sénateur James G. Blaine, soutinrent la candidature de James Abram Garfield contre Grant lors de l'élection présidentielle de 1880[1].
