Géomembrane
Les géomembranes sont des membranes étanches aux fluides et de grandes dimensions, fabriquées généralement en polyéthylène, haute et basse densités (HDPE, VFPE), en bitume élastomère, en polypropylène (PP)ou en chlorure de polyvinyle (PVC).
Elles sont utilisées en génie civil, bâtiment, agriculture, environnement et industries.
En génie civil elles font partie de la famille des géosynthétiques.
Elles existent en longueur, largeur et épaisseur de différentes dimensions suivant le type d'application et la taille de l'ouvrage. Elles sont souvent thermo-soudables pour réaliser les joints dans des conditions de qualité et de fiabilité optimales.
Les utilisations les plus répandues sont :
- Etanchéité des bassins d'eau ;
- Etanchéité des retenues collinaires ;
- Etanchéité des bassins de rétention anti-pollutions ;
- Barrière active des casiers de stockage de déchets;
- Confinement de déchets liquides.
