Findhorn Ecovillage est un écovillage basé en Moray, Écosse, tout près du village de Findhorn. Le projet a pour objectifs principaux la mise en application des idées du développement durable sur trois plans: environnemental, social et économique. Les travaux ont commencé au début des années 1980 sous les auspices de la Fondation Findhorn, mais comprend maintenant un large panel d'organisations et d'activités. De nombreuses technologies écologiques sont utilisées et le projet a gagné plusieurs récompenses comme par exemple le "UN-Habitat Best Practice Designation" en 1998. Une étude indépendante récente a conclu que les résidents ont la plus faible empreinte écologique de toutes les foyers de peuplement du monde industrialisé. Bien que le projet ait attiré certaines controverses, notamment en rapport avec l'origine spirituelle de la communauté, la croissante préoccupation pour les questions environnementales, comme le réchauffement climatique, a conduit à une acceptation générale de cette philosophie écologique.
