Fidelity Investissements SAS est le leader mondial indépendant de la gestion d'actifs pour compte de tiers.
C'est une compagnie privée qui possède également beaucoup d'entreprises :
- une chaîne d'autobus,
- une chaîne d'agence d'intérim,
- et autrefois un grand nombre des journaux de Boston, revendus au Boston Herald.
Dirigé par Edward C. Johnson 3d, également Président du groupe, et sa fille Abigail Johnson. Un des meilleurs gestionnaires de fonds connus de cet organisme est Peter Lynch. Le siège social est situé à Boston
Processus
La philosophie d'investissement de Fidelity repose avant tout sur une sélection minutieuse d'entreprises individuelles. À cet égard, la société met davantage l'accent sur la valeur fondamentale de l'entreprise que sur le secteur dont elle relève, le timing du marché ou encore l'anticipation des tendances économiques. Cette stratégie d'investissement est connue sous le nom de " bottom-up stockpicking ". Une telle stratégie implique que les portefeuilles sont constitués action par action, à partir d'entreprises offrant les meilleures perspectives de réussite. Régulièrement, les fonds intègrent également des actions d'entreprises plus risquées.

- 1946 : Création de Fidelity Management and Research par Edward C Johnson 2nd à Boston, États-Unis
- 1969 : Création de Fidelity International Limited (FIL) qui assure le développement international de Fidelity
- 1990 : Lancement de la Sicav de droit luxembourgeois Fidelity Funds
- 1994 : Ouverture du bureau de Paris (Société de Gestion de Portefeuille)
- 2001 : Lancement de Fidelity Sicav - Fidelity 2e Génération, premier OPCVM d'OPCVM de droit français.
- 2003 : rachat d'HR Access Solutions détenu par IBM
- 2006 : Lancement de Fidelity Vie un contrat d'assurance vie haut de gamme accessible à tous.
