Maître de cérémonie
Au sens strict, le terme maître de cérémonie (en anglais Master of Ceremony) désigne la personne qui dirige une ou des cérémonies, une fête, une soirée ou un spectacle.
Dans le milieu du rap, ce terme désigne le chanteur (ou rappeur). Le plus souvent, seules les initiales MC sont utilisées. Le pseudonyme du rappeur français MC Solaar est un bon exemple de cet usage.
