Advent Rising est un jeu vidéo développé par Glyphx Games, sorti en 2006 en France sur PC et Xbox.
Le jeu a été scénarisé par l'auteur de science-fiction Orson Scott Card.
Il devait faire partie d'une saga : l'Advent Trilogy. Un épisode était prévu sur PSP nommé Advent Shadow. Son insuccès critique et commercial a mis fin au projet.
Système de jeu
Le titre met en scène l'arrivée de 2 types d'aliens dans la vie de l'humanité, et s'oriente autour d'une invasion apocalyptique face à laquelle les humains devront répondre en s'alliant à une autre race extraterrestre beaucoup plus sympathique. A pied ou à l'aide de nombreux véhicules, l'avenir de la planète dépend du joueur.
