La molécule de dihydrocodéine est commercialisée en France. Elle est disponible sous forme générique et compose également un médicament appelé Dicodin. Il faut cependant éviter de confondre la dihydrocodéine avec sa cousine la dihydrocodéinone, synonyme de l' hydrocodone, le composant principal de la Vicodine.
