Inspiral Carpets est un groupe de rock alternatif associé à la scène Madchester, formé à Oldham (Grand Manchester) en 1987[1],[2].

L' ex-leader d'Oasis, Noel Gallagher, fit partie du groupe en tant que roadie de 1989 à 1991, et c'est durant cette période qu'il a appris à se débrouiller dans le monde de la musique.
