Le Commando de la mort (A Walk in the Sun) est un film américain réalisé par Lewis Milestone en 1945.
Synopsis
En 1943, dans la tête de pont de Salerne, une section de soldats américains débarque, puis progresse vers une ferme qui lui a été donnée comme objectif.
- Sorti peu après les événements, le film est très économique en effets spéciaux et n'expose pas un seul uniforme allemand ; il prend largement le temps d'exposer les relations entre les combattants.
- Une chanson semble avoir été écrite pour le film, décrivant cet épisode comme une "promenade de santé" (A Walk in the Sun).
