Bonding
Le support « Bonding » de Linux (ou channel bonding ou encore etherchannel chez Cisco Systems) permet de « fusionner » deux interfaces Ethernet.
Il est ainsi possible d’obtenir une interface virtuelle à 200 Mbit/s (2×100 Mbit/s) en mariant les performances de deux interfaces Ethernet 100BaseT.
Il permet aussi de faire de la redondance car si un lien est coupé, il bascule automatiquement sur l’autre.
Un standard a été développé, le IEEE 802.3ad mais est assez peu utilisé.
Le support du bonding peut être compilé dans le kernel ou sous la forme d’un module.
