Cantung Mine était un producteur de tungstène dans les territoires du Nord-Ouest au Canada de 1962 à 1986 et de 2002 à 2003.
À l'origine, le nom de la compagnie était Canada Tungsten Mining Corporation Limited, Cantung étant une forme abrégée de ce nom. La petite ville de Tungsten a été établie pour les travailleurs et leurs familles. C'était une mine à ciel ouvert jusqu’à ce qu'un nouveau gisement souterrain soit exploité en 1974. La mine a fermé en 1986 à cause des prix bas du tungstène.
Avec des prix plus élevés lors du nouveau millénaire, le nouveau propriétaire, North American Tungsten Corporation, a relancé la production en 2002. La mine a de nouveau fermé en 2003 lorsque les créditeurs de l'entreprise ont réclamé le remboursement des dettes, poussant l'entreprise au bord de la banqueroute. Ils ont depuis amélioré leurs finances et envisagent de rouvrir la mine en 2005 ou 2006.
