Cased Telescoped Armament System
Un Cased Telescoped Armament System (CTAS) est un type d'obus de nouvelle génération, ou l'ogive est enfermée dans la cartouche de poudre, au lieu d'être placée au sommet de celle-ci. Cette disposition donne une forme cylindrique à l'obus, et procure un encombrement moindre.
Plusieurs pays se sont intéressés à ce concept ; c'est un consortium franco-britannique qui l'a mis au point.
Il n'est actuellement en service dans aucune armée, ni en commande.
