Brychan de Brycheiniog (ou de Brecknok) est un roi gallois vénéré comme saint, qui dut s'exiler avec ses vingt quatre enfants et terminer sa vie comme reclus en Cornouailles. Il est mort vers 500. Il est fêté le 6 avril.
Histoire et tradition
Le semi légendaire fondateur éponyme du royaume de Brycheiniog est selon la tradition, reputé être le fils d'un prince Irlandais et de Marchell considérée comme une fille de Tewdrig roi de Gwent bien que cette filiation soit chronologiquement incompatible.
