Bootsplash - graphiques et messages d'amorçage d'un système

Dans le jargon informatique, un bootsplash désigne une représentation graphique du processus d'amorçage d'un ordinateur.
But
Un bootsplash peut se limiter au simple affichage des messages d'amorçage, mais il peut également contenir des graphiques voire même combiner messages et graphiques.
Contrairement au splash screen, un bootsplash n'est pas là pour uniquement pour faire patienter l'utilisateur en lui présentant des informations de type marketing sur le logiciel et son éditeur. En effet, le bootsplash présente à l'occasion des informations qui sont nécessaires à l'utilisateur pour corriger des conditions d'erreur sur son ordinateur.
Écran d'amorçage de Windows
Toutes les versions de Microsoft Windows depuis Windows 95 (Branche MS-DOS) et Windows 2000 (branche NT) possèdent un bootsplash qui est affiché durant le processus d'amorçage. À l'aide d'outils fournis par des éditeurs tiers (par exemple, Stardock BootSkin), il est possible de remplacer le bootsplash de Windows par des images personnelles, du texte et/ou des animations.
