Wide Prairie est une compilation posthume de Linda McCartney. L'album a été compilé et publié en octobre 1998[1] par Paul McCartney après la mort de sa femme en avril 1998, et après qu'un fan lui ait écrit à propos de la première composition de Linda, Seaside Woman, qu'elle avait enregistré en 1977, sous le nom de Suzy And The Red Stripes, mettant en vedette Linda au chant. Son mari a compilé toutes ses enregistrements avec l'aide de Capitol Records et de MPL Communications. Le solo de guitare sur le morceau The Light Comes Within est assuré par le fils de Paul et Linda, James McCartney.
