United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence

Le United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (parfois appelé SSCI) est un comité national dédié à la surveillance de la communauté du renseignement américaine, que ce soit des agences nationales reconnues, telles la NSA et la CIA, ou des bureaux du gouvernement fédéral des États-Unis qui informe les responsables du pouvoir exécutif et du pouvoir législatif. Ce comité fut établi lors de la 94e session du Congrès des États-Unis[1].

Les membres y sont temporairement et sont choisis en rotation parmi le Congrès des États-Unis[2]. Le comité comprend 15 membres : huit sièges sont réservés à un membre du parti majoritaire et à un membre du parti minoritaire participant à l'un de ces comités : Senate Appropriations Committee, Senate Armed Services Committee, Senate Foreign Relations Committee et Senate Judiciary Committee[3]. Sur les sept restants, quatre sièges sont occupés par un membre du parti majoritaire et trois par un membre du parti minoritaire[3]. De plus, le Majority Leader et le Minority Leader ne peuvent voter ex officio[3].
