Sohawal était un Etat princier des Indes, dirigé par des souverains qui portèrent le titre de "rai" puis de "radjah". Cette principauté subsista jusqu'en 1950 puis fut intégrée dans les Etats du Vindhya-Pradesh puis du Madhya-Pradesh.
