Showcase est un comics édité par DC comics dans les années 50 et fut le lieu de création de nombreux super-héros qui par la suite eurent droit à leur propre comics (Green Lantern, Flash, etc.). En septembre 1956 dans le numéro 4 apparaît pour la première fois le nouveau Flash. On date le début du Silver Age de cette parution. En septembre 1959 le numéro 22 voit la recréation de Green Lantern. Les autres héros qui ont débutés dans ce comics sont : les Challengers of the Unknown; Space Ranger; Adam Strange; Rip Hunter, Time Master; the Sea Devils; Atom (recréation du Silver age); les Metal Men; les Inferior Five; B'wana Beast; le Creeper; Anthro; Hawk and Dove; Bat Lash et Angel and the Ape.
