Pacifika est un groupe canadien composé de la chanteuse et actrice péruvienne Silvana Kane ex-membre du groupe pop canadien West End Girls plutôt tournée vers le flamenco et la musique électronique, d'Adam Popowitz, guitariste adepte de la new wave, de la musique classique et de la pop et de Toby Peter, bassiste canadien élevé à Barbados amoureux de jazz, hip-hop, metal et du Caribbean groove. Ce trio basé à Vancouver s'inscrit dans le courant de la global pop tout en définissant son propre style.
Pour Silvana Kane, Pacifika “is simply the Latin way of saying ‘peaceful’ in the feminine, except that we changed the 'c' to a 'k'.” ("c'est simplement la manière latine de dire "paix" au féminin, à l'exception près que l'on a changé le 'c' par un 'k'")
