Synopsis

Une psychologue sexy de Long Island, fraîchement divorcée, intervient auprès d'une équipe de football professionnelle afin de boucler ses fins de mois. Très vite, d'autres sportifs, musiciens ou politiques viennent la voir pour qu'elle les aide à supporter les affres de la célébrité.

Development and production

La série est basée sur l'histoire vraie d'une psychologue qui a travaillé pour les New York Jets. Initialement intitulé Dr. Donna, le premier spectacle est apparu sur l'ardoise du développement du réseau USA en Décembre 2009. En mai 2010, le réseau a passé la commande d'un pilote sous le nouveau nom Necessary Roughness.

Elizabeth Kruger et Craig Shapiro ont écrit le script du pilote, et Kevin Dowling a été engagé pour diriger le pilote.
