Macklemore, de son vrai nom Ben Haggerty, est un rappeur américain, d'origine irelandaise, basé à Seattle, dans l'état de Washington. Il travaille avec le producteur Ryan Lewis, le violoniste Andrew Joslyn, le trompettiste Owour Arunga, le pianiste Noah Goldberg, et le multi-instrumentiste Zach Fleury (batterie, guitare et basse). Macklemore a commencé a devenir célèbre à Seattle depuis le début de sa carrière musicale à la Garfield High School, jouant souvent à la fameuse Capitol Hill Block Party.
