Mid Sweden University (en suédois, Mittuniversitetet, MIUN) est une université suédoise, possédant des campus à Östersund, Sundsvall et Härnösand, tous trois situés près du centre géographique de la Suède, d'où le nom de l'université (université du centre de la Suède).

Histoire

En 1993, les collèges universitaires Högskolan i Östersund et Högskolan i Sundsvall/Härnösand, tous deux créés en 1977, fusionnent pour former Mitthögskolan. En 2005, ce collège universitaire obtient le statut d'université.

En 2011, l'université compte 21 500 étudiants[1].
