Iran Focus est un site d'informations qui s'identifie lui-même comme « un service d’information à but non lucratif qui s’attache aux événements en Iran, en Irak et au Moyen-Orient »[1].

Controverse

Le site est édité par Mr Mohammad hanif Jazayeri, membre actif de l'Organisation des Moujaheddines du Peuple (Mujaheddin Khalq Organization ou MKO), une organisation d'extrême gauche terroriste interdite par l'Iran et déclarée terroriste par les États-Unis, le Canada et l'Union Européenne. Il semblerait que le MKO utilise des sites de propagande tels que Iranfocus.com, Iranterror.com, Iran-Resist.org et d'autres sites pour appuyer sa position plutôt que de fournir des informations objectives[2],[3].

Selon plusieurs sources, le MKO utilise internet et des appuis politiques pour supprimer le mouvement des listes des organisations terroristes dans le monde. L'auteur de Iran Focus, Mohammad Hanif Jazayeri, est très actif dans cette campagne[2],[4],[5],[6],[7].

Mohammad Hanif Jazayeri est également un proche parent de Laila Jazayeri, extrémiste et membre du mouvement MKO, qui s'est immolée par le feu en 2003 devant l'ambassade de France.
