L’incident 228, aussi connu comme le massacre 228, est un soulèvement contre le gouvernement de Taïwan qui a débuté le 27 février 1947 et qui a été violemment réprimée par le Kuomintang. Les estimations du nombre de mort varient de 10 000 à 30 000 individus. L'incident a marqué le début de la période de « Terreur blanche » du Kuomintang à Taiwan, dans laquelle des milliers d'autres taïwanais sont morts, ont été portés disparu ou ont été emprisonnés.
Le nombre « 228 » fait référence au jour le massacre a commencé, le 28 février ou 02-28.
