Glaoua

Les Glaoua sont originaire du Grand atlas, au nord de Tizi-n-Glaoui entre Marrakech et Oued Idermi d'où ils tirent leurs nom[A 1].

D'autres tribus sont venues se joindre ultérieurement. Ce sont :

  • Oulad Ben Othman: leur ancêtre commun serait Cheikh Mouhamed Ben Othman, originaire du Touat et fondateur du ksar actuel d'Igli vers 1730[A 1]. C.Ramès dit que Mouhamed Ben Othman est le descendant de Sidi Othman de Béni-Abbés[1].
  • Oulad El Aiachi: Une famille emmenée par Cheikh Mouhamed Ben Othman du Touat[A 1].
  • Oulad Brahim: Descendant d'un enfant abandonné recueilli par les Oulad El Aiachi[A 2].
  • Oulad Bou Zian: Selon les Glaoua, ils seraient les descendants d'un juif convertit à la religion musulmane[A 2].
  • Oulad Said: D'origine inconnue[A 3].
  • Oulad Amer: D'origine inconnue[A 3].
