Le forum shopping est un terme informel anglais de droit international privé qui n'a pas d'équivalent en français[1]. Il s'agit de la possibilité qu'offre à un demandeur (et plus exceptionnellement à un défendeur) la diversité des règles de compétences internationale de saisir les fors, tribunaux des pays appelés à rendre la décision la plus favorable à ses intérêts.
Il entraîne souvent une surenchère judiciaire, notamment pour le « libel tourism » (tourisme de la diffamation)[2].
