European Academic Research Network

EARN (European Academic Research Network) était un réseau informatique fondé en 1984 qui avait pour fonction de service de passerelle entre les centres de calcul académiques entre d'Europe et des États-Unis. Il était basé à Paris. Il partageait le même protocole et l'espace de nommage de BITNET.

En 1995, EARN fusionne avec RARE pour former TERENA.
