Dir est une localité du Pakistan située dans la province de Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Conquise par les Britanniques, Dir fut une principauté dont les souverains portaient le titre de "khans" puis de "nababs-khans" et qui subsista jusqu'en 1969.
