Dickybird

Dickybird est un groupe de rock/noise français originaire du Havre. Formé en 1990 dans sa toute première version, il devient un trio à part entière avec l'arrivée de Stéphane Touboulic, bassiste, qui s'associe au duo formé par Doris Le Mat-Thieulen et Jean-François Thieulen. Le groupe va tourner dans le circuit rock pendant 13 ans avec des premières parties telles que Girls against Boys, Treponem Pal, L7, Noir Désir, Arno, Fugazi, Les Thugs, Bellini. Il réalisera 5 disques dont 3 sous la houlette de Nicolas Dick de Kill the Thrill et un dernier album "Indéfendable" enregistré en 2002 par Steve Albini au studio Electrical de Chicago. Le mastering de cet album sera réalisé par John Loder, boss de Southern Records, au studio Abbey Road de Londres. On notera que Doris Le Mat-Thieulen a été d'ailleurs, parallèlement chargée de la promo du label Southern Records (Ipecac, Constellation, Neurot, anticon etc..) en France de 2004 à 2010. Jean-François Thieulen a pour sa part créé la boutique de disques "Bang" (qui fut également un lieu d'expo) de 2005 à 2008. Le couple, à la vie comme à la scène, a notamment organisé beaucoup de concerts au Havre dans diverses associations. Il forme aujourd'hui, le duo Grand Final, qui a sorti un album début 2009, intitulé "The Bridge", enregistré à San Francisco avec Joe Goldring (Enablers). Dickybird s'est séparé fin 2006. Grand Final joue toujours.
