Catherine MacPhail

Catherine MacPhail est une romancière écossaise issue d'une famille modeste, née le 24 janvier 1946 à Greenock. Elle a longtemps considéré le métier d'écrivain comme un rêve inaccessible. Après la naissance de son première enfant, elle a commencé à fréquenter l'atelier d'écriture de son quartier, où on lui a conseillé d'envoyer son manuscrit à des éditeurs. Son premier roman pour la jeunesse, Run, Zan, Run, a remporté le Kathleen Fidler Award.

Catherine MacPhail est aujourd'hui un auteur reconnu, elle a publié une trentaine de romans et reçu de nombreux prix.
