Amy Johnson est une aviatrice pionnère anglaise née le 1er juillet 1903 et décédée le 5 janvier 1941.

Volant seule ou avec son mari Jim Mollison, elle bat le record du plus long parcours dans les années 1930. Johnson vola au cours de la Seconde Guerre mondiale dans la Air Transport Auxiliary où elle périt durant un vol.

Biographie

Johnson est née à Kingston-upon-Hull et étudia au Boulevard Municipal Secondary School (devenu Kingston High School). Puis elle continua à l'Université de Sheffield, où elle reçut le Bachelor of Arts en économie.

Ensuite, elle travailla à Londres comme secrétaire de William Charles Crocker.
