Zfone est un logiciel multiplate-forme de chiffrement des flux de communication de téléphonie sur Internet au standard ouvert SIP, fonctionnant en P2P.
Il a été créé en 2006 par Philip Zimmermann, créateur de Pretty Good Privacy (PGP), logiciel de chiffrement de courrier électronique.
Il fonctionne sous Linux, Mac OS X et depuis peu sous Windows. Il devrait facilement s'incorporer dans tous les softphones SIP, notamment dans Ekiga[2].
Le protocole ZRTP a été soumis à l'IETF[3].

Ne fonctionne pas avec Skype.
Les deux interlocuteurs voulant chiffrer leur communication doivent avoir installé et lancé le logiciel et avoir paramétré leur logiciel de VoIP sur le port SIP (5060).
Un SDK (Software Development Kit) est sorti sous licences GNU AGPL/GNU GPL : Zfone libZRTP[5]
