YG Entertainment

YG Entertainment (en Coréen : YG 엔터테인먼트), est un label coréen spécialisé dans la production de musique Hip Hop et R&B créé en 1996. L'acronyme YG fait référence à son fondateur et Chief executive officer Yang Hyun Suk, aussi connu sous le pseudonyme Yang Goon. Avant la formation du label, le hip hop était peu populaire en Corée du sud[réf. souhaitée].

YG Entertainment est créé en 1996 par Yang Hyun Suk qui fut membre du groupe Seo Tai-Ji And Boys. Après la séparation du groupe en 1996, il travaille avec des artistes alors débutants tels que Jinusean et 1TYM. Ses membres les plus célèbres sont aujourd'hui Big Bang, 2NE1 ou encore Se7en (chanteur)

Partenariat

Local

YG a des partenariats avec M-Boat Entertainment depuis 2002, EunGun Entertainment, Yamazone Music et Booda Sound.

International

Depuis 2005, YG Entertainment, étend son marché à l'étranger. Se7en est le premier artiste à s'exporter en Asie. YG a des partenariats avec Nexstar Records au Japon, 21 East Entertainment en Chine et GMMInternational en Thaïlande. Se7en devrait bientôt débuter une carrière aux États-Unis. YG Entertainment prévoit de créer des succursales aux États-Unis et au Japon appelés YG America et YG Japan.

YG Family

YG Family est un groupe crée en 1999 qui regroupe les membres du label. Ils ont sortis 4 albums collaboratifs et ont chantés à Seoul, Tokyo et Osaka, Los Angeles, New York City et Washington D.C. lors d'une tournée mondiale en honneur du 10ème anniversaire du label en 2006[1].
