Institut Warburg
L'institut Warburg est un centre de recherche de l'Université de Londres spécialisé dans l'étude des influences de l'Antiquité classique sur la civilisation occidentale.
L'institut a été fondé par l'historien de l'art Aby Warburg (1866-1929) et regroupe sa bibliothèque comprenant 80 000 ouvrages. Elle compte désormais plus de 350 000 volumes.
Parmi les chercheurs associés à l'institut on citera Ernst Cassirer, Henri Frankfort, Arnaldo Momigliano, Ernst Gombrich (qui en fut le directeur de 1959 à 1976), Erwin Panofsky, Edgar Wind, Frances Yates et Anthony Grafton.
En collaboration avec l'institut Courtauld, le Warburg publie The Journal of the Warburg and Courtauld Institutes, document annuel d'environ 300 pages.
