Wang Zhongshu, ne en 1925, est un archéologue en Chine. Après faire ses études à la faculté de l’histoire de l’Univeristé de Pékin, il entre à l’institut de archéologie dans l’Académie chinoise des sciences.
Il est consideré comme le premier personnage de l’archéolgie en Asie qui a contribué au développement de l’archeologie en Chine. Il a joué le rôle primordial de la recherche et la fouille des veitiges importants en Chine
Il s’intéresse à l’âge de la période de Royaumes combattants(Ve siècle av. J.-C) à la Dynastie Tang (A.D 907). Il réalise plusieurs études remarquables sur le château, la tome et le miroir en cuivre.
