Urząd Ochrony Państwa
Urząd Ochrony Państwa (UOP ou Office de Protection de l'État) était l'agence de renseignement de la Pologne. Elle fut fondée le 6 avril 1990 sous la tutelle du ministère de l'intérieur. En 1996, elle fut transformée en une agence gouvernementale autonome sous la supervision directe du premier ministre. Elle est chargée de l'espionnage, du contre-espionnage, de la sécurité électronique du gouvernement (y compris les écoutes téléphoniques)
L'UOP a remplacé LA Służba Bezpieczeństwa (SB) communiste, dont les responsabilités s'étendaient à la destruction de toute opposition au gouvernement jusqu'en 1989.
