The Last Guardian (anciennement Project Trico), nommé au Japon Hitokui no Ōwashi Trico (人喰いの大鷲トリコ, Hitokui no Ōwashi Toriko?, lit. « Trico, le grand aigle mangeur d'hommes »), est un jeu vidéo d'action-aventure en cours de développement par la Team Ico, qui sera publié en exclusivité sur PlayStation 3 par Sony Computer Entertainment. Il devrait sortir fin 2011 au Japon.

Le titre a été officiellement dévoilé lors de la conférence Sony de l'E3 2009. Durant le Tokyo Game Show, un second trailer[1] a été diffusé montrant l'environnement et les personnages mais pas de phase de gameplay. C'est durant ce salon du jeu vidéo qu'a été annoncé l'horizon 2011 pour la sortie du jeu.

Le jeu n'a pas encore bénéficié de version de démonstration.

Il semble que l'on dirige un enfant dans une grande ville à l'abandon. Le jeu se base sur un rapport entre cet enfant et une étrange créature chimérique. Très grande, la créature est quadrupède et possède un corps couvert de plumes, de petites ailes, une longue queue et des pattes rappelant celles d'un oiseau. La tête est semblable à celle d'une hyène avec de grandes oreilles et quatre petites cornes sur le front. L'adversité semble contenue dans des soldats de pierre animés.
