Anecdotes
Cooper voulait tourner ce film en couleurs. Finalement, il finit par le réaliser en noir et blanc avec Ernest Schoedsack. Le film est surtout connu pour sa scène du volcan qui explose (effets spéciaux de Willis O'Brien)
