Hot Spot

Hot Spot (The Hot Spot) est un film américain de Dennis Hopper sorti en 1990. Basé sur le roman Hell Hath No Fury de Charles Williams, c'est un film policier marqué d'une lourde charge érotique (son accroche anglosaxonne était A scorchingly erotic thriller, un thriller d'un érotisme brûlant) et servi par une bande-son prestigieuse, où figurent notamment John Lee Hooker, Miles Davis, Taj Mahal et Roy Rogers.

Synopsis

Un malfrat (Harry, Don Johnson) s'installe dans une petite ville du Texas avec la ferme intention d'en dévaliser la banque. Il fait la connaissance de plusieurs habitants : le shériff (Barry Corbin), qui soupçonne ses intentions, Lon (Charles Martin Smith), le mauvais garçon local, et surtout la sulfureuse Dolly (Virginia Madsen), épouse d'un homme plus âgé, et la jeune Gloria (Jennifer Connelly). Harry est attiré à la fois par les deux femmes...

Le Hot Spot (littéralement le "point chaud") est la boîte mal famée de la ville.
