Le Streetwear, parfois appelé street fashion est la manière de s'habiller des adeptes de la culture hip-hop. Elle est composée d'éléments particuliers possédant chacun sa signification propre, ayant une histoire liée à la culture de près ou de loin.

On peut ainsi voir par exemple les vêtements amples (pantalons larges et T-shirts XXL), plus aptes à la pratique du b-boying. Les baskets, chaussures de sport, sont, de la même façon, un élément essentiel dans la panoplie du B-boy.

La vie des gangs a elle aussi influencé le streetwear : Le bandana est ainsi quelque fois porté. L'absence de lacets ou de ceinture (raison pour laquelle le pantalon est porté plus bas) est due au mode de vie des prisons, où tout objet risquant de favoriser le suicide était confisqué.


Depuis le début des années 2000, le streetwear a pris une autre tournure, c'est devenu un look mélangent influences Hip-hop, années 80 flashy et rétro. Il est devenu le look des adeptes de la musique Hip-hop et Electro, mais aussi c'est le look de la New rave ou Fluo Kids.
