Seaxburh fut reine du Wessex, qu'elle dirigea coinjointement avec son mari le roi Cenwalh de 672 à 674. Il est possible qu'elle soit la même Seaxburh que celle qui épousa le roi Earcombert de Kent ; dans ce cas elle serait la fille d'Anna d'Est-Anglie et la sœur d'Æthelthryth. Elle serait alors devenue abbesse après la mort de Cenwalh, mais d'après certaines sources elle serait morte en 674, c’est-à-dire la même année que son mari.
