Safrax est le nom d'un chef ostrogoth du IVe siècle, mort aux environs de l'an 400.
En 376, à la mort du roi ostrogoth Withimer, et alors que les Huns déferlent en compagnie des Alains en Europe orientale, il guide son peuple et se dirige vers le Danube en compagnie du chef Alatheus, faisant jonction avec les Wisigoths, avec lesquels il participe à la célèbre bataille d'Andrinople en 378 (un tournant dans l'histoire de Rome et de l'Europe), où il est l'un des principaux chefs goths, avec Fritigern.
