Synopsis

À la fin du XIX^e siècle, le 101^e régiment de cavalerie de Fort Apache recueille un jeune garçon, Rusty, et son berger allemand, Rintintin, uniques survivants d'un convoi de pionniers attaqué par des Indiens. A la suite d'une de leurs aventures Rusty est promu caporal honoraire et Rintintin, mascotte du régiment et ont l'autorisation officielle de rester au fort.
