Rhys ap Tewdwr (1078 – 1093) prince de Deheubarth, royaume gallois qui résista à la conquête des Anglo-normands, était le père de la princesse Nest qui fut enlevée par son cousin Owain ap Cadwgan.
Il fut tué par les Normands dans le Brycheiniog (Brecon).
