Playing the Victim (en russe Изображая жертву) est un film russe du réalisateur Kirill Serebrennikov, qui a remporté le 21 octobre 2006, le prix du meilleur film lors de la première édition du Festival de cinéma de Rome. Ce prix a été attribué par un jury populaire de cinquante cinéphiles, encadrés par le réalisateur italien Ettore Scola.
Synopsis
Playing the Victim, qui pourrait rappeler une version moderne du Hamlet de Shakespeare, met en scène Valya, un ex-étudiant qui gagne sa vie en jouant pour la police le rôle de cadavre lors des scènes de reconstruction de meurtre. Une nuit, il rêve qu'il est lui-même mort, et son père défunt lui apparaît et l'informe qu'il a été empoisonné par sa mère et son amant.
