  • le gouvernement de la République démocratique allemande, car la résidence officielle du président et le conseil d'État ont longtemps été situés dans le quartier et de nombreux dignitaires résidaient au Majakowskiring. Cette métonymie est à l'origine du titre de la célèbre chanson Sonderzug nach Pankow d'Udo Lindenberg.
