Opération Kratos est le nom de code d'une opération policière britannique créée 6 mois après les attentats du 11 septembre 2001[1], se référant à la stratégie du « tirer pour tuer » utilisée contre de présumés terroristes ou kamikazes.
Kratos vient du grec κρατος, signifiant « force » ou « autorité ».
